Ezio Auditore da Firenze (1459 - 1524) is the deuteragonist and mascot of the Assassin's Creed video game franchise, and the main protagonist of Renaissance saga. Ezio was a Florentine nobleman during the Renaissance, and, unbeknownst to most historians and philosophers, the Mentor of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins, a title which he held from 1503 to 1513. He learns new moves and abilities by being taught by friends and allies, unlike a progression tree, to make the players' immersion into the character feel more natural.
