From asking everyone around me, they're all looking forward to this iPhone 12 release with many switching from iPhone X/XS. My friend who has been using an iPhone 5s since release said he's switching for the 120hz refresh rate.

At present, the iPhone models that offer 120Hz touch sensing are the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR. These models were introduced by Apple with improved touch display technology to enhance the user experience and provide a more fluid and seamless touch response.
Apple now boasts of a 120Hz touch-sensing rate on its new iPhone XS and XR lineup, which doesn't mean that you have a display with a higher refresh rate.
TLDR: The touch latency of iPhone XS Max in gaming is 88ms and Samsung Note 10 has 86.2 ms touch latency in gaming. The second example is the comparison between iPhone XS Max (60Hz) vs OnePlus 7 Pro (90Hz) screen latency. The OnePlus 7 Pro lost to iPhone XS Max in screen latency despite having a higher refresh rate. The screen is still gorgeous, it is $200 cheaper, and I don’t need the LiDAR camera on the back. • Little brighter display • Thunderbolt port /USB 4.0 • Processor (More future updates) • Better Speakers • A handy Face ID scanner • 120Hz • Better Camera’s. • A step downgrade from all the above. However, let’s put that in perspective. If we assume that Apple will not hike the prices of this year’s iPhones, the iPhone 15 should start at $799 (~₹79,900 in India). That puts it smack dab in the flagship smartphone category in India. At that price, Apple thinks it’s okay to not include a 120Hz display.
What the iPhone X does have, is the next best thing - a 120Hz touch sampling rate, as you can see in Apple's developer support table below. It means that when you place your finger (s) on the display, it refreshes with double the usual rate, ready to follow every flick and whim of your fingertip (s) with lightning speed, then throttles things
I’m an iPhone fans. I never use another brand except an iPhone. As soon as the iphone 13 pro max came out, I pre-ordered mine. Since then my eyes hurts from scrolling up and down and staring on the screens. I feel motion sickness and even had vertigo for the very first time. gYxN.
