Story God of War aims to present something of a Greek epic in video game form. To this end, the developers painstakingly skimmed the "Greek Mythology" Wikipedia page for names, then made up the rest out of whole cloth.
God of War is one of the most prominent ventures into this ancient mythos, and though it stumbles at points, it is an amazing adventure that boasts exciting combat, a detailed world and incredible graphics to top it all off. For those reasons, GoW is an almost essential purchase for any fan of action adventure games. God of War. God of War is finally out on PC, and according to game director Cory Barlog, the reason PlayStation games have been ported at all is thanks to various studios pushing Sony to do it. God of War combines all of the elements that make a good game to make a great game. It has a compelling story, great graphics, fluid game play, awe-inspiring music, short loading times (and very few at that), and to top it all off great replay value.

God of War: Ragnarok brings back the same pace of gameplay that the God of War series evolved into with God of War (2018). However, the sequel improves the ratio between battles, puzzle solving, and walking portions to present more battles throughout.
