BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2014-2018 328d, 328d xDrive, X5 xDrive35d, 2014-2016 535d, 535d xDrive, 2015 740Ld xDrive, and 2015-2017 X3 xDrive28d vehicles. The high-pressure fuel pump may fail. Remedy. Dealers will replace the high-pressure fuel pump, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Low Pressure EGR Problem. So the dealer came up with 2 recommendations. Wanted to get your thoughts based on the diagnostics report. I appreciate any direction you guys can give me. EGR valve is NOT $3,242 and that does not sound like a diagnosis. Diagnosis should cost a couple of FRU, one for hooking up the computer and maybe another for Test Plan.

So I have a X5 35d My 335d has full deletes: downpipe, tune, full exhaust, egr race pipe w/ coolant block offs. My x5d for now will just get the egr race pipe w/ coolant block offs and the egr valve secured to the side till my downpipe comes in among other things like the intercooler, vacuum system parts, Harmonic Dampener, clutched alt pulley, new belts, and thermostat & water pump. I pulled and cleaned my EGR valve from our '15 F25 this weekend. It wasn't terribly dirty or clogged but it was physically sticking. After cleaning it very well it seemed fine with no sticking issues. I'm receiving 3 fault codes this morning. (It's also very cold out) Valve closed too loosely, mechanically faulty near closed and mechanically Qd8ju.
