Compared to the latter, specifically the facelifted version of the F30, the all-new model seems better proportioned. Its front end no longer looks awkward from certain angles (nitpicking), while
Although its name suggests it has a smaller diesel engine than the 320d, in fact it’s the same 2.0-litre turbodiesel unit, detuned to offer better fuel economy, lower emissions and therefore cheaper company car tax bills. Compared to the 320d, the 318d has slightly better fuel economy – 50.4mpg versus 49.6.

Depending on the differences, I was hoping to fit the 318d engine to the turbo, injection system
The diesel range consists of 318d (141bhp), 320d (181bhp), 325d (215bhp), 330d (254bhp) and 335d (309bhp) models, so there should be one to suit every kind of buyer. More reviews Car group tests
The entry-level 148bhp 318d diesel is the only model in the range offered with a manual gearbox and can average a very respectable 65.7mpg. Other diesel options include the 187bhp 320d and 282bhp
PS: buying the lower power cars is not all about badge either. My 320d still had the same build quality, cabin materials, and overall niceness of the bigger-engined siblings, so you're still getting the full BMW experience even if you don't have M3-like performance.
