Tried to Google it and could only find replacement LCDs that supposedly work for both my old GBA SP (AGS-001) and the brighter GBA SP (AGS-101). I'm rather skeptical about the compatibility since I've read that the screens from AGS-001 and AGS-101 are not interchangeable, and that some LCDs DO NOT include the front lit display.

I haven't looked into this for a while, but IIRC GBA screen swaps work like this: AGS-001 into AGB-001 won't work. AGS-101 into AGS-001 won't work. AGS-101 into AGB-001 will work, two versions of AGB-001 exist, version specific adapter cable required for swap. 4n9k.
